This SALE is for the 1940 FORD  PASSENGER CAR AND 1940 1941 PICKUP TRUCK ORIGINAL FRONT FENDER APRON SUPPORT BRACE shown in the photos above.  THIS ORIGINAL BRACE HAS BEEN MODIFIED BY REMOVING THE THIN CROSS SUPPORT STRAP WHICH IS NECESSARY WHEN INSTALLING A LATER OHV ENGINE.  If you are using it in a modified car with modern engine this strap is exactly what you need and it is being sold at a very low starting bid.  This brace appears to have the correct shape and is in good condition.   Please be sure that this brace is correct for your application as this is an as-is auction.  These parts are very hard to find today and I am offering itm at a very reasonable  price.   Sales tax will be added to all items delivered within California.   Contact me for more information on other shipping options.   Please use the Ebay feature "Ask Seller A Question"  if you  need further info. 

Ford announces electric car plans at the Detroit auto show

Not to be left out of the electric car party, Ford announced Sunday at the Detroit Auto Show that it was developing a line of electric powered vehicles. In addition to its already announced hybrids and plug-in hybrids, Ford is working with Magna International to bring fully electric cars to market with lithium-ion battery packs. In the works is a Focus and Fusion-based vehicles that will be available in with all three powertrains.

GM delays second shift at Volt plant

General Motors is delaying the addition of a second shift at its Michigan assembly plant that makes the Chevrolet Volt. In May, GM said that it would add a second shift at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant by late this fall to double Volt production. Instead, a plant overhaul completed this summer, along with a more-modest addition of workers, will allow GM to double production starting early next year while remaining on one shift, the company said Friday.
