YOU ARE BIDDING ON A PAIR OF USED, ORIGINAL 1940 MERCURY CONVERTIBLE POWER TOP CYLINDERS.  THE CYLINDERS COME WITH THE ORIGINAL CLEVISES AS WELL.  THE WORKING ORDER OF THE CYLINDERS IS UNKNOWN, BUT APPEAR STRUCTURALLY SOUND. SOLD AS IS. THEY ARE GENUINE MERCURY PARTS. NOTE: THESE ARE THE SAME CYLINDERS THAT ARE USED ON A 1940 FORD CONVERTIBLE. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE CLEVIS ON THE PLUNGER ROD. YOU CAN MODIFY THE MERCURY ONES TO WORK ON A FORD OR YOU CAN USE YOUR ORIGINAL FORD ONES IF YOU HAVE THEM.

Camilo Pardo has ended his 24 year long career at Ford to pursue his numerous other creative endeavors. CDN caught up with the accomplished artist, sculptor, clothing and furniture designer at his annual Designer's Night bash in Detroit, where he told us how he was now "free to do anything", but would not divulge details as the announcement was not yet official. A native New Yorker, Pardo graduated from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and was granted the Industrial Design Society of America Merit Award in 1985.

Bio-Fuel Skycar to go in to production

Parajet's Skycar looks set for road-legal production in 2010 [ad#ad-1] Three months ago we brought you news on the plans of London Company Parajet International Ltd to take their Skycar on a trip to Timbuktu. Well, not only was the trip a great success – they arrived in Timbutu on 26th March – but the Skycar is now destined to go in to production next year. Bedfordshire Company Rage Motorsport, best known for producing Buggies, is to partner with Parajet to produce completely road-legal versions of the Skycar, with Rage producing the cars/buggies and Parajet adding the bits to make it fly (which makes sense!).
