You are buying an original Sherwin-Williams color chip paint guide for 1946 Lincoln-Zephyr passenger cars.

The back side also has a list of the Lincoln-Zephyr color combinations.

This is a vintage chip guide, and is dated 1946.

These are paint chips that are glued to the page, not a silly printed representation of the colors.

These color chips can be invaluable when buying, researching or restoring an old car.

Let's say you get a lead on an old car sitting in a barn. The owner tells you that it has never been repainted. Can you verify that by sight?

As well, this chart has the correct color names. The car might be green, but is it Surf Green or Willow Green?

This paint chip color guide is in good used condition.

Call for ban on on vehicle-side advertising

Thu, 08 May 2014

ALL ADVERTISING and promotional banners on commercial vehicles should be banned as they are distracting to other drivers and tempt them to use mobile phones while driving. This is the call from Flexed, a car leasing company, which has carried out a survey that shows a quarter (23%) of drivers admit to trying to type a website address into smartphone after seeing an advert on a lorry. A further 10% of drivers admitted they had tried to take a camera phone photo of an advertisement on a commercial vehicle to use later.

Ecclestone wants to bring the noise

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

FORMULA ONE supremo Bernie Ecclestone has vowed to address growing concerns surrounding the sport's lack of an appealing noise. Following Sunday's season-opening Australian Grand Prix, Ron Walker, chairman of the organising company that stages the race, complained to close friend Ecclestone about the lack of sound. The piercing scream of the old V8 engine has gone, and in its place we now have a huskier tone, complete with whistles and whirrs from the 1.6-litre V6 turbo as F1 tries to become greener.
