1947 GMC Trucks "New Diesel Models" original, sales brochure featuring the "71" diesel engines, 6 and 4 cylinders with lots of photos and illustrations. Includes chassis and features. Specifications and dimensions for the models: ADCR750 & ADC750, ADFR750 & ADF 750, ADC900, ADCR900, ADCW950, and ADCW970. Outside of brochure slightly soiled. Small smudge about the size of a thumb print on the inside front cover. Dealer stamp on back and front cover.

Weather still causing commuter chaos

COMMUTERS had a miserable return to work today as bad weather continued to cause havoc to road travel. A number of major road routes were affected by flooding or by fallen trees, while one lane was closed on the M48 Severn Bridge due to strong winds and a section of the M77 in Glasgow was closed because of flooding. A landslip at Hawick on the Scottish Borders led to hold-ups on the A7, while a section of the A36 in Hampshire was closed due to a fallen tree and fallen power cables.

UK new car registrations: 20 months of growth

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has once again increased its new car forecast for 2013. The news comes off the back of the 20th consecutive month of growth, with new car registrations up 4% in October. Last month’s total of 157,314 registrations brings the total to 1,952,238 in 2013 so far, leading the SMMT to up its forecast from 2.22 million to 2.25 million.
