This is a chrome plated rear quarter panel accessory gas door guard which was removed from a 1950 Mercury. It may also fit a 1949 and 1950 Mercury which you would need to determine. The chrome plating shows wear and some minor pitting which you can see in the pictures. Perfect for adding a gas door guard to your '50 Merc. Your design should focus on a future interpretation of GMC's ‘industrial sculpture' design philosophy. You'll need to bear in mind who the customer for this truck or utility vehicle is, and consider what is the purpose and application of the vehicle.
