This is a complete 331 c.i. V8 and hydramatic transmission that I removed from a 1949 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (see the last picture).  I bought the car 8 years ago from a mechanic in Bakersfield, California who had it stored in his shop for many years.  The car had approximately 46,000 miles on the odometer when I bought it and after installing new brakes, flushing the old gas, and tuning the motor, it started easily and ran without issues.  I drove the car frequently and had no problems with starting, over-heating, oil consumption or leaks.  After a year of use I sold it to a neighbor who gave the motor and transmission back to me when he decided to build the car into a street rod using a fuel-injected Chevrolet big block and manual transmission.  The day before we removed the motor and transmission, he drove the car on a 100 mile round trip to attend an out-of-town golf match.  It ran with complete reliability then, and I expect the motor and transmission have many more reliable miles ahead.   Regarding shipping:  The motor is in my friend's automotive shop in Los Angeles, CA., zip 90026. I have no way of shipping or transporting this motor, so the buyer must either pick the motor up at the shop or arrange for shipment.  Good luck bidding.

Rolls Roye Wraith – final tease ahead of Geneva debut

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Rolls Royce has revealed the final tease photo of the new Wraith – the RR Ghost Coupe – ahead of its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It started out with the reveal of the return of the Wraith name – and an ethereal image of the Spirit of Ecstasy - in the middle of January, followed by a shadowy tease photo a week later of the Wraith and finally a couple of detail photos of the interior. Now, for the final tease of the Wraith ahead of its Geneva debut, Rolls Royce seem to have gone back to the beginning, with a tease photo of the Wraith that’s just a series of a few lines.
