Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept heading for 2014 CES
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept heading for 2014 CES The Consumer Electric Show (CES) in Las Vegas is rapidly turning in to a showcase for some of latest electronic gizmos on cars, and the 2014 Show will see a new version of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept complete with Laser Lights. The Sport Quattro comes with a pair of low-profile trapezoidal elements, with the outer one generating the more familiar matrix LEDs for low beam whilst the inner one laser light for high beam, which offers three times the luminosity of LED high beam and can light up the road for 500 metres ahead. Apart from the clever laser headlights, the Sport Quattro Concept seems to be the same as the one Audi revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, apart from a new paint job in Plasma Red and the laser lights.
Chrysler Ypsilon revealed
Mon, 14 Feb 2011Lancia Ypsilon - a change of badge will make it the Chrysler Ypsilon We only reported the other day that Lancia are coming back to the UK with a Chrysler-badged Ypsilon. And it’s probably a little disingenuous to say that the Chrysler Ypsilon has been revealed. It hasn’t. But the Lancia Ypsilon has, and all that will change when the Ypsilon comes to the UK this Summer is the badge to morph the Lancia Ypsilon in to the Chrysler Ypsilon.
Jaguar C-X16 WON’T be the Jaguar XE
Wed, 07 Mar 2012Jaguar C-X16 won't be the Jaguar XE It’s been revealed that the new smaller sport car from Jaguar – the C-X16 Concept – won’t be called the Jaguar XE. The Jaguar C-X16 Concept – a new smaller sports car based on the next generation XK platform – was revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and although we were a little underwhelmed with the design – there is nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t seem to move Jaguar’s design language on – we loved what was on offer. What we did think – in common with just about everyone else – is that Jaguar would make their new Sports car the Jaguar XE, evoking memories of the original E-Type in the process and fitting in with the current Jaguar nomenclature quite well.
