This is a pair ( 2 ) complete front brake backing plates from my 1956 Mercury custom wagon. They have a descent set of shoes on each and all hardware including bolts. they could be bolted up and used. Not sure what other models they would fit, but have 11" X 2-1/2" shoes, and I'm sure they would fit trucks and other models also, but not sure so please do your research. Tue, 12 Aug 2014The Lightweight Jaguar E-Type is reborn Back in May we revealed Jaguar Land Rover’s new Heritage part of JLR’s Special Operations Division were planning to create six new Lightweight E-Types, the ‘Missing 6′ from the original production run in 1963. And now we get to see the first prototype. The new Lightweight E-Types will complete the planned run of 18 cars from 1963 – the Special GT E Project – using the remaining, unused, chassis numbers from the original run, effectively making these new E-Types able to compete in historic racing events.
Italdesign Giugiaro transforms 'Golf Vision 2020' winning design into hard model
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Italdesign Giugiaro transformed an Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design (IAAD) student's thesis project into a 1:4 scale model after it was chosen by Giorgetto Giugiaro as the best Masters project in the ‘Golf Vision 2020' challenge. The challenge, launched in collaboration with the carozzeria and Volkswagen, asked students to design the Volkswagen Golf of 2020. The best designs from the Bachelors and Masters courses were picked at the end of the year by renowned designer and school sponsor, Giorgetto Giugiaro.
Infiniti QX30 compact SUV to join new Q30 in Sunderland production
Fri, 11 Jul 2014The Infiniti Q30 (pictured) will be joined by the QX30 compact SUV The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show saw the arrival of the Infiniti Q30 compact hatch as a concept, with plans to put it in to production in 2015 at Nissan’s plant in Sunderland. And it will be joined by the Infiniti QX30 compact SUV. Based on the underpinnings of the Mercedes A-Class, the new Infiniti Q30 is Infiniti’s first foray in to the compact market, and it seems Infiniti are keen to simultaneously tap in to the compact SUV market with the higher-riding QX30 as Infiniti’s take on the Mercedes GLA.
