These rear struts ARE EXTREMELY RARE!! They are for 1955 to 1957 Chevy Sedan Delivery. The station wagon rear door struts are different. The Station wagon struts use a button to unlock the struts. The sedan delivery struts have no buttons, you simply lift the rear door up, it unlocks on its own and you close the door.
You can use these as they are, restore them, chrome them, or paint them. They do work, but are original and probably should be restored. Danchuk makes a rebuild kit for the station wagon struts and they will also work on the sedan delivery struts as well, I have used the kit to restore a set for my delivery. I included a picture of the Sedan Delivery I restored as an example. Don't be like the rest, with the WRONG struts, or aftermarket gas struts, go original!! |

Toyota to close Australian design studio
Mon, 10 Feb 2014Toyota designers at its Technical Center Asia Pacific Australia (TTCAP-AU) are to lose their jobs as part of Toyota's decision to scale back the facility's activities as well as halting all manufacturing within the country by 2017. The TTCAP-AU, which carries out all its Australian design and evaluation operations, employs 150 designers and modelers and it's possible that its activities with the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion models could be scrapped, raising doubts over its future. Around 2,500 employees at Toyota's Altona manufacturing plant are expected to lose their jobs, although the effects are likely to be wider ranging.

Thu, 15 May 2014To our 6-year-old selves, monster trucks really were the biggest, baddest things on four wheels, mechanized, city-block-sized demon machines that ate sedans and belched fire. The reality is that the trucks aren't that big when you get right up next to them -- certainly not the Caterpillar 797-sized car-obliterators we imagined years ago. They're probably around 12 feet high at most; given current trends, they'll be eclipsed by heavy-duty pickups in a design cycle or two.

You might have seen last year's "Prom" campaign by Audi (the video above) or the even more memorable "Vampire Party" from 2012, featuring the Audi S7. Another recent Audi Super Bowl ad that the Internet seemed to like was 2011's "Release the Hounds" spot for the Audi A8, mocking old luxury...at Mercedes-Benz's expense, we might add.
