Here we have a  NEW PAIR OF FINNED ALUMINUM VALVE COVERS FOR THE 1955, 1956 & 1957 THUNDERBIRDS AND ALL Y-BLOCK FORDS & MERCURYS, AND TRUCKS.  These valve covers are made in America and are an exact duplicate of the Original Ford Supplied units.  These covers were part of the Ford option and over-the-counter supplied Dress Up Kits.  Being Cast Aluminum, then sanded and polished, some of these units have minor imperfections, which I have pointed out in the last few photos.  Since they are not perfect, I have priced them accordingly.  When mounted on your Y-block motor, these minor imperfections will be hardly noticeable.   Since these Valve Covers are about 1/2 inch taller than the original sheet metal covers, a special mounting kit is required to mount them on your y-block.  I have these kits listed on another of my ebay listings.  If you purchase the mounting kit with the valve covers I will waive the kit shipping charge.  Mounting kit includes kit contains reusable rubberized cork valve cover gaskets, and each long studs, grommets, chrome flat washers and Chrome acorn nuts.  This is a duplicate of the original hardware supplied by Ford on vehicles with these Valve covers.

I charge actual shipping cost, never any packing or additional charges. Shipping Charge is a little higher than usual, since these covers are heavy.    I will also combine shipping costs on multiple buy so check out my other ebay listings..

I Accept Paypal and any other Approved method of Payment..   I try to describe all items honestly and to the best of my ability .  Any Questions .or need more photos...please ask. Thanks for your time.  I will be listing other 55-57 T-bird and Ford passenger car parts, so please check back every so often.

I will ship locally or just about to any country BUT    :Foreign Bidders Please Contact me before bidding!  to receive approximate shipping cost estimate.

Upgraded Ford MyKey blocks explicit satellite radio channels

Wed, 29 Dec 2010

Teenage radio listeners might have to look somewhere else besides the family Ford for the Playboy channel or Howard Stern. The new generation of Ford's programmable MyKey system will let parents block "explicit" radio channels on the Sirius/XM satellite service in their cars. That would cover Playboy's and Stern's channels, as well as more than a dozen music channels, such as rapper Eminem's Shade 45 and the hard-rock Boneyard.

Hiriko folding car: The solution to urban car sharing? [w/video]

Wed, 08 Aug 2012

The Hiriko Driving Mobility Group has moved into the manufacturing trial of its two-seater electric microcar, which it hopes will offer a new car-sharing program that will transform the way we travel around our cities. The ‘first-mile' problem – moving between the commuter's home and mass transit hubs – and the ‘last-mile' problem – from mass transit to the workplace – has increased dramatically over the past few decades as more of us live in urban environments. 10 years ago researchers at the Michigan Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) decided to explore alternatives to shuttle buses and other ideas that failed to tackle the problem.

Mazda reveals Mazda2 EV with range-extender Wankel rotary engine

Mazda reveals Mazda2 EV with range-extender Wankel rotary engine It’s long seemed logical that a compact Wankel rotary engine – running at a constant speed – would be a great way of fitting electric cars with a range-extender option. Audi flirted with the idea of fitting the A1 e-tron with a Wankel engine a couple of years ago, but that got shelved. And Mazda – keepers of the Wankel flame – came up with the idea of a Wankel engine bolted in to an EV and powered by hydrogen last year, but it seems to0 have gone nowhere.
