This is a set of  factory original firewall and gas pedal accelerator linkage.  This linkage is uniquely Thunderbird and was used on all 1956 and 1957 Thunderbirds which had an automatic transmission (except for the 1957 factory dual quad or "E" model).  Included is the rod which slips into the bottom of the gas pedal, the attaching spring clip and the linkage which bolts to the firewall and the support bracket to the motor.  The firewall linkage has been cadmium plated per original.  The rod has the Ford engineering # "AH 9727-A" stamped into the rod.  All of these pieces are assembly line originals.  Perfect for replacing missing or damaged accelerator linkage with Ford originals.   See my eBay Store for the 1954-1956 and 1957 Ford and Thunderbird NOS automatic transmission kickdown clevis. BMW spends $900 million on South Carolina plant to build the X4 SUV

BMW is expanding its lineup with the X4 and growing its manufacturing base with a $900 million investment in its Spartanburg, S.C., assembly plant. "This is in response to rising global demand for the BMW X family to include the BMW X4," BMW board member Frank-Peter Arndt said. BMW says the investment will create 300 new jobs at the plant.

NHTSA upgrades probe into Jeep fuel tanks

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has upgraded its investigation into the fuel tank on three Jeep models to an engineering analysis, another step toward what could become a recall. Safety advocates say the location of the fuel tank, mounted behind the rear axle, makes it prone to catching fire in the event of a rear crash. The investigation covers Jeep Grand Cherokees built between 1993 and 2004, Jeep Cherokees built between 1993 and 2001, and Jeep Liberty SUVs built between 2002 and 2007.
