1956-57 Press Molded Original Corvette Hood.  This hood came off of my 1956 Corvette.  I have just finished restoring the car.  When I got to the hood issue, I decided to buy a new one as I was not doing the work myself and had some time issues to complete the car.  The hood is in primer.  I would consider it is good condition, however, it does need some work to anchor and secure the areas for the hardware.  When the hinges were attached there was some movement and not as sturdy as I would like.  The solution, according to the restorer was to reinforce the areas where there was stress.  It could be done but would take some time.  Therefore, I bought a new hood.  I am happy to answer any questions.  Thanks, 310-562-2033.  Larry

It’s the brainchild of Don Wales, grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell and nephew of Donald Campbell.

Holden Hurricane returned to glory

Holden, the Australian arm of General Motors famous for its thumping V8-powered super-saloons, has lovingly restored its first-ever concept car from the late 1960s. Debuting at the 1969 Melbourne Motor Show, the sleek Hurricane concept was a mid-engine, rear-drive, two-seat sports car that embodied a variety of conceptual technologies that were years – decades even – ahead of its time. The Hurricane featured a digital instrument display, station-seeking radio and automatic temperature control air conditioning.
