Thu, 18 Mar 2010Nissan will produce the Nissan LEAF EV in the UK from 2013 Carlos Ghosn – head of Nissan – is convinced that electric cars will account for 10% of the market by 2020. Which is a huge leap from where they are now. We’re not convinced he’s right, although if you include what by then should be viable hydrogen fuel cell cars then he may be getting close.

Busy times for Kia. The new Kia Rio will launch as a five door, but we can expect to see a sportier three door version in the New Year.

The thing that really sets him apart is that, while competitors shared driving duties over the long desert courses, Stewart did the vast majority of them alone, with no relief drivers--just him and the dirty, dusty desert. But even legends want to retire someday.
