Beautiful driver's side door handle off a 1957 or 1958 full sized Chrysler or DeSoto This came from an excellent dry western car so it is in exceptional condition. Look over the photos carefully to see just how nice and clean this door handle really is. These are getting hard to find in this condition and a poor original one detracts so much from a nicely restored car. There are just a few pits in where your fingers go, but these can be covered up with some care. There are several articles on how people have "hidden" the pits from inner areas like this one by painting the area in a semi gloss black. Note how the photo shows a shadow where the pits are. By filling and painting, those pits disappear. Then it looks to be pit free! Here is your chance to pick up the drivers door side. The side that usually looks the worst, for a very reasonable price. I will ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment and will send anywhere as long as you pay for the shipping. Thanks for looking at my listing.

Hot Wheels and Icon in sandbox battle

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

As first reported by Jeff Glucker of Hooniverse, the toymaker Mattel has been accused of infringing on a trademark held by the low-volume vehicle builder Icon 4X4. Icon claims that a Hot Wheels toy being distributed worldwide is based on its Icon FJ40—which itself is based on the Toyota FJ40—and that Hot Wheels' use of Icon's design, promotional materials and the name “FJ40” violates trademarks held by Icon. In its response to Tuesday's Hooniverse post, Hot Wheels claimed that the toy is not based on the Icon FJ40, and that it has the right to use the term “FJ40” despite Icon's trademark.

Honda Pilot concept (2007): first official pictures

Wed, 19 Dec 2007

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 19 December 2007 13:09 Honda will show a concept of the next-generation Pilot at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008. Although the Americans call it ‘midsize’ the current car is hardly small: at 4775mm long it’s over 200mm longer than a BMW X3 so expect the new car to be as big as the X5. However, that means the concept can offer seating for eight.

By Tim Pollard Motoring Issues 22 July 2014 08:59 The new August 2014 issue of CAR magazine has a stunning, eight-page photoshoot on the Aston Martin DP-100 concept car. We met its makers and spent a day with the amazing mid-engined supercar – where we learned the following nuggets. ‘One of the phrases that we like to use is “out of chaos, something arises,”’ said design director Marek Reichman.
