The X-Factor Stretch crossmember from American Powertrain takes the guess work out of street rod and custom cross member fitment for almost any transmission.

The Stretch crossmember comes in 3 sizes 20"-26", 26"-32" and 30"-34" inside the frame rails. And can be bolted or welded in place, providing a wide range of fitment possibilities with excellent clearance for large diameter exhaust tubes. Choose the width that best suits your project.

Made in the USA using a patent pending process, X-Factor Stretch cross members are modular designed from hot pressed T-6061 aluminum, making them incredibly light and exceedingly strong; perfect for street or track applications. The unique end supports are constructed of high strength steel. 

All stock parts are powder coated in metallic aluminum and come with the aluminum center section, steel end supports and grade-8 hardware . Applications include classic 4-speeds, modern 5 and 6-speeds, plus all vintage and late model automatics.

It was one of the greatest rod, custom, drag-racing and classic-car collections ever assembled and it soon will make one of the greatest auctions. America's Car Collection, housed at the Flying A Garage in Winnemucca, Nev., had cars by Ed Roth, the Alexander Brothers and Harry Bradley, along with memorabilia from Von Dutch and Roth. There even is a Mickey Thompson mini bike, fer goodness sake.

British sports car specialist AC is back and teaming up with fabled Italian coachbuilder Zagato to create the new AC 378 GT Zagato, the first all-new AC for some time. The company has had an on-off relationship for much of the past decade, with production switched abroad, management changes and a confusing product line-up. But new management has been installed and are hoping to make a fist of AC Cars, one of the world's oldest car brands.

BMW to supply engines to Saab, reports say

Saab and BMW AG have agreed on a deal that allows the Swedish carmaker to use engines made by BMW, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Saab will initially purchase BMW engines for the 9-3 model that is scheduled for release in late 2012, said the person, who asked not to be identified before a contract is signed. The carmakers plan to sign and announce the pact in Trollhattan, Sweden, on Wednesday, the person said.
