Condition:Used

Parting out a 12 horsepower 1958 Gale Buccaneer outboard motor. (Model # 12D17B, Serial # 721202.)  The motor has very low hours, it has been stored inside nearly fifty years.  I decided to part it out instead of selling complete.  I obtained it from an estate.    This sale is for the complete powerhead.   You will never find a 1950's or 1960's power head in this good of condition.    It looks very much like the 15 horsepower 1956 Evinrude Fastwin or some Johnsons of that time period.

New Jaguar XJR will see the end of the XJ SuperSport

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

The launch of the new 2013 Jaguar XJR at the New York Auto Show this week heralds the end of the line for Jaguar’s other Supercharged V8 XJ – the SuperSport. With a much more fulsome 542bhp, some very ‘Jaguar’ go-faster bits, some proper fettling to make the steering, gearbox and suspension focus more on the drive without making a mess of the ride and altogether more dynamism in prospect than the SuperSport, we’d assumed Jaguar were making the XJR the performance pinnacle of the XJ range and leaving the SuperSport in place as the ‘luxury’ alternative. With that thought in mind we’d expected to see Jaguar push the price of the new XJR up towards the XJ Ultimate (which costs £121,000), so count us gobsmacked when Jaguar revealed the new XJR will cost from £92,335 – just £500 more than the SuperSport.

Mugen supercharges the Honda CR-Z

Wed, 18 May 2011

Honda tuner Mugen has set its engineers loose on the CR-Z hybrid, and what they came back with is a piece of machinery with supercharged power when you need it and fuel economy when you don't. Pictures of the new tuner have popped up on Honda's United Kingdom media Web site. We had high expectations for the CR-Z when it debuted.

Ford to cut Australian manufacturing in 2016

Thu, 23 May 2013

Ford Motor Co., saddled with high costs, falling sales and financial losses, will close Australian car and engine assembly plants in October 2016 after almost nine decades of manufacturing in the country. Ford, the smallest of the country's three manufacturers after Toyota Motor Corp. and General Motors, will shut its assembly plant in Broadmeadows in northern Melbourne and an engine plant in Geelong to the west of the city, Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano said.
