The demise of Mercury has one potentially positive outcome for the car world: a revitalization of Lincoln. News of Mercury's pending closure was paired with Ford's plans to boost Lincoln's lineup. Six new or significantly refreshed products will arrive in the next four years, and a seventh, the restyled MKX, is preparing for launch.

Mark Goodier gets the first Nissan LEAF delivered in the UK It’s taken a while, but Nissan has finally got the Nissan LEAF on the road in the UK, with the first two customers picking up their cars this morning. Nissan dealers Glyn Hopkin in Waltham Abbey had a pair of nice, shiny, black Nissan LEAFs all prepped and ready to go this morning to the first two UK customers – DJ Mark Goodier and electronics engineer Richard Todd. Mark Goodier – once a Radio 1 key player but now out to pasture at Smooth FM – was the first to drive off in his LEAF, subsequently commenting on Twitter that “…I had a great smooth drive into London today”.

The Veritas RS III will debut at Salon Privé in July [ad#ad-1] Vermot AG are responsible for the Veritas RS III, a modern day recreation of a 1940s German racer. And it does look pretty stunning. It weighs in at less than 2400lbs but features a either V10 BMW (as in the M5) or a V8 (as in the M3), offering either 600bhp or 480bhp.
