For parts or restore, 1958 Kenworth 925 truck. I purchaced this truck from the son of the original owner. It was a tandem drive truck when it was new with torsion bar suspension but the frame has been cut down and a single drive axle has been installed. It has a 262 Cummins in it with a 5 speed main and 3 speed Brownie. This was a highway truck with aluminum hood, frame, and cab. The cab is very solid and one of the best ive seen. Doors are very solid and shut very nicely. This cab has the rare factory roll down rear window, not a slider. Dash is very nice and clean, has original heater and seats. Floor is decent. Hood is the original and the serial number stamped in the RH side, as does the bumper. Has all the factory hood latches and rubber bumpers. The center hinge does need replacment. Grill surround is straight but does have some rust spots. All the letters are there on the hood but grill emblem is missing. IT was gone when i got it. This truck was also a factory dual exhaust truck, with upper and lower factory brackets on both sides. The RH fuel tank and supports are in good shape, LH tank has been caught on something on the front bracket and is bent and dented. It could be fixed. The engine starts and runs very well. Has about 45-50 psi oil pressure. Still a 24 volt starting system. Starter has been rebuilt and it has a new series/parallel switch. Truck does not come with batteries. It does run and move under its own power. Brakes do not work as the air lines are in poor condition. I backed the maxi cans out so I can move it around. I can help load it on a truck or trailer. Tires are in poor condition. This would be a great one to restore. Its very straight and solid. It does need repairs but is a great one to start with.
