Here is a bare block for a 1959 Corvette with a 270hp 283ci. motor with 2x4, high lift cam, and manual transmission. The assembly date is February 4th, '59 and the casting date is February 3rd, '59. The cylinders are standard bore with a ridge. The coolant passages are nice with just surface rust, no pitting.

Fisker about to be bought by Volvo’s Chinese owner Geely?
Mon, 18 Feb 2013It’s reported that China’s Geely – which bought Volvo from Ford – is about to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive. But Fisker has run in to big problems when its battery supplier - A123 Systems – went bust leading to Fisker production grinding to a halt. That has now been resolved with China’s Wanxiang Group buying up A123 Systems and it looks like Fisker is heading East too with Geely set to grab a majority shareholding.
Ferrari celebrates 30 years in Hong Kong
Mon, 21 Oct 2013ICONIC sporting brand Ferrari turned on the style to celebrate 30 years of presence in Hong Kong. Ferrari's president Luca di Montezemolo was in attendance alongside a spectacular display of over 600 Ferraris - the largest gathering ever in Greater China - arranged to form the traditional five-petal flower. The gathering also was used to show the firm's latest offering the 458 Speciale which was unveiled by Marc Gene, the Scuderia F1 team's chief test driver.
