Show Quality - original trim restored and anodized back to factory original. Unlike polished trim, this anodized piece will maintain it's finish, without polishing. If you do polish it, you will not get black residue off the trim, like a polished piece.

Up for auction is a 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS Bel Air Biscayne Brookwood Kingswood Nomad Parkwood Convertible Hardtop Sedan Station Wagon upper grill moulding.  This is one of the sturdy designs, and does not require the metal plate on the backside.   Original trim stripped, straightened, sanded, buffed and anodized. As good as NOS was in the 60's -- better than most NOS pieces you will find today.   Unlike polished trim, this anodized piece will maintain it's finish, without polishing.  If you do polish it, you will not get black residue off the trim, like a polished piece.

MA Transportation Design Program at the Umeå Institute of Design

The Umeå Institute of Design at Umeå University Sweden attracts young design students from all over the world to its two-year Master of Arts degree program in Transportation Design, the first of its kind in the Nordic countries. This year's MA program, for which the Institute is anticipating another talented pool of applicants, is open for registration until the 15th of April. The body of students currently enrolled in the MA Transportation Design program is truly international, with representatives from Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Ireland, Spain, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Sweden.

Dagoberto Tribia was promoted to Director of Interior Design at GM do Brasil Design on January 1, 2011. Working under the direction of Carlos Barba, Executive Director of Design, GM South America, Tribia has assumed responsibility for all interior programs at General Motors Brazil Design, both local and global. In doing so, he has also become the first Brazilian Design Director at the company.
