NOT for the faint of engine ! The Speed-Port 7000 intake manifold. Designed specifically for modified 409 Chevrolet W engines, with AT LEAST 450 cubic inches. Dyno testing  on a 452 CID engine, in 2015, revealed that this intake tends to come on at about 3500 RPM, and  after 4000, will literally eclipse other popular intake manifolds by as much as 65 horsepower.

As seen in the photos, the runners themselves, are of maximum proportions, to supply a no-compromise path, and available volume for the air / fuel.
Also, on that note, the castings is made with extra material thickness on the roof of the runners, which WILL ACCOMMODATE the installation of FUEL INJECTION nozzles.

Fundamental info about this manifold:
It IS the first and only single plane, 4 barrel, isolated plenum intake manifold ever made for the Chevrolet 348 / 409 W engines
It took over five years to get this into production. I personally designed it, and did the full scale drawings. Over the course of this time, four pattern shops worked on it, when it fit in their schedule. I often worked with them, to finalize countours, etc. The pattern itself, is somewhat complicated, and requires skilled foundry people.
The low production castings are done by a major foundry in western Canada, then shipped to our shop, A Bruneau Performance, here in Alberta, Canada. I personally machine, drill, and prep each manifold. This is NOT CNC'd ! Each one is done by hand, on a manual milling machine, using support fixtures that I designed specifically for the purpose.
As with most any non-permament-mould metal casting, there are imperfections. When examined, there are minor grinding marks, etc, where the seams , burrs, ect, have been cleaned up. All in all though, a pretty presentable piece.
The boxes are custom made in British Columbia, and labels / decals made locally, here in Alberta.

Basic engine / vehicle requirements:

Over 450 cubic inches. 10:1 or more compression ratio. Modern cam profile with at least 230 degrees duration at .050".

Use with factory large port "690" or "583" casting heads, or aftermarket aluminum heads from Bob Walla Racing ( pictured ), Edelbrock, or Lamar Walden Automotive.

Porting / matching recommended. Proper exhaust headers, using at least 1 7/8" primary tube size, are obviously required.
A compatible engine will be cammed and prepared to be operated efficiently to at least 6500 RPM.

Depending on engine preparation and use, I recommend a Holley 800 - 950 CFM carburetor.
A good air cleaner, is the Moroso 14" unit, which does clear stock hoods of the 1958-1964 Chevrolet and Canadian Pontiac cars ( has not been checked on 1965 models ).

Standard transmission recommended. If using just an automatic, it will require at least 2500-2800 stall speed converter.
For street use, a MINIMUM final drive gear ratio of 3:1... with 3.55 - 4.11 being best suited.

This manifold comes with an exclusive, albeit very simple oil shield, which bolts to the underside. Also, special fasteners for the 4 upper mounting bolts.
Does not include oil filler neck, mounting studs, or fittings.
The crankcase vent at the rear, is internally baffled, and is located the same as on a factory GM part. It is designed to accommodate the 1958-1962 road draft tube, or the 1964-1965 vent tube that extends to the air cleaner. For PCV applications, I have used the vent that came on the 1964-1967 283 / 327 engines.
