1962 Pontiac Catalina, Grand Prix Driver side PATCH PANEL that goes behind rear wheel well.  .  Good piece of original rear lower 1/4 panel to repair that rust spot or hole you have.  Measures about 33" at bottom from end to end of rear crimp. Picture # 2 shows what looks like a nail hole rather than a rust hold - easy weld.  Pics 3 & 4 show bottom bend slits with solid metal on each side - another easy weld.  Pics 5 & 6 show brown spots and surface rust which are not cancerous and eating through - metal is solid.  Has a little surface rust.  Inner panel for wheel well still attached in part with a little cancer (you will use your inner panel), but it appears no serious cancer in outer panel.   You never see one of these for sale.  We rarely get 62 1/4's that are any good and fewer panels for patches.  First one we have ever had.  This is not some cheap Chinese junk thin metal knockoff (I don't think they are made for 62's anyway) , but a real HD original metal fender patch piece.  Not cheap, as ANY 62 salvage is more than double to triple later years.  Much cheaper to ship than a fender.  We also have good repaired fenders for sale (factory metal replacement in the one lower spot at the bottom that always gets cancer - $195) and excellent cancer free fenders as well.  Check our Pontiac Parts West store or call  541-480-9200.

Aston Martin eyes Lagonda comeback

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

The last time we saw an Aston Martin Lagonda on the street, it looked like its sharp angles could deflect not only police radar and laser, but give pedestrians a paper cut if they weren't careful. And the last time we saw a Lagonda concept -- at the 2009 Geneva motor show -- it looked like, well, like what you see above. We're still not sure what we see above, and leading scientists aren't sure, either.

Celebrating the Spirit of Ecstasy's centenary

Mon, 16 May 2011

In a bumper year of anniversaries for automotive manufacturers, Rolls-Royce is celebrating the centenary of the Spirit of Ecstasy. Quite possibly the world’s most famous automotive icon, the flying lady will be honored by renowned photographer Rankin through 100 images inspired by the figurine. Just as Charles Robinson Sykes – the man behind the original figurine – turned to his wife for the form of the Ecstasy, Rankin is using wife and model Tuuli Shipster for his work.
