Condition:Used

This extraordinary matched set of Corvette Kelsey Hayes knock-off aluminum wheels would be almost impossible to duplicate. They are untouched in any way and are in remarkable condition. They are part of a large estate of rare Corvette parts that were accumulated in the 60's and early 70's.  This set of wheels were early take-offs from a fuel injected 65. This set of rare, very early wheels are ink stamped and most of the dates are still legible. They include March and April dates from 1964. Three of the four spinners have absolutely no hammer marks and look virtually NOS. The spinners have the correct markings cast on the inside, exactly as shown in the new NCRS manuals. The bright center cones are correct thru 65, but the wheels could be used on a 66' if the brushed cones were installed. I have done virtually nothing to these wheels and they are just as I found them. There is nothing like "real" knock-offs but beautiful originals in this condition are really hard to find.

These knock offs came off one of the 1965 pilot cars, number 10. I have the fuel injection unit from that car on another listing. These wheels were on that car. They are an early set of unpainted wheels and given that production time frame of the pilot car program that explains why they are early and unpainted.

This is the first time any of these parts have been for sale. Please call me if interested as I have these parts listed locally and reserve the right to remove the listing ant any time. For my best price call Todd Spain (563)-678-2706 (days).

The big prize awaits on the Autoweek America Adventure

Tue, 01 Nov 2011

It is the last morning of the Autoweek America Adventure, as I write this. Our traveling circus heads toward the big top in an hour or so, and we should be in Las Vegas before noon. There is anticipation in the air, unlike other rallies I've attended, as this one has a significant main prize: a 2011 Mopar Charger will be given to one lucky contestant on the stage at the Specialty Equipment Market Association convention.

Northumbria University degree show 2010

Fri, 06 Aug 2010

Northumbria University's Transportation Design undergraduate degree course has gained a strong reputation over its relatively short history. Once an entirely independent course, it is now more closely aligned with the Design School's highly regarded Industrial Design program. This year, 16 students displayed a wide range of projects from traditional automotive designs through to more product design work as disparate as storage and even a publishing solution.
