One used Carter YF carburetor that should fit Chevrolet 194, 230 and 250 cubic inch engines (probably the same for the same size engines in like years POntiac, Oldsmobile and Buick applications).

This is for parts only, as the throttle shaft is frozen, even after I soaked in rust remover.. It looks like the bottom of the carburetor, the cast iron base, was wet at one time. font>

The choke shaft works freely and all linkage is intact.

If memory serves me correctly, this is an extra carburetor I had from a 1967 El Camino with a 230 c.i. engine.

Check your application for fit.

BMW's new M engine needs a better voice

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

BMW's M division claims its new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine is every bit as good -- if not better -- than the glorious, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 powerplant it replaces in the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe. The figures are certainly impressive. They say it kicks out 424 hp and more than 25 percent extra torque, with what is described as significantly more than 369 lb-ft below 2,000 rpm.

The poster, whom we assume can read Japanese, says the next GT-R will have a hybrid powertrain like the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LeFerrari. He also says it will carry a new version of the company's twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 making 580 hp.

First Sight: Fenomenon Stratos

Tue, 01 Mar 2005

The Geneva Show sees a surprising newcomer to its stands in the shape of Fenomemon Ltd and their concept Stratos project. This new London-based vehicle design agency is led by a current student on the Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design course, Chris Hrabalek, who has masterminded a complete full-size mockup of a reborn Lancia Stratos concept for this year's Geneva Show. In a world where multinational companies spend several million dollars on a concept car and stand, that's a phenomenal achievement.
