Up for your auction bids is this hard to find two-piece set (top and bottom) 1964-65 Mopar B-body automatic console pot metal chrome top plates. These are both complete with trim. Top most plate includes the shift-pattern plastic lens, black plastic slide (that goes around shifter handle), and the front blank pattern insert, lens, bezel, and rear side retainer. About the only thing I don't have is any of the screws to hold these to the console. Top-most plate is cast on the underside with Chrysler part # of: 2490625, and bottom main plate is cast with part #2490614, and has a small cast plate attached on the back of it with part # 2581336 cast on the back side of it.
Featured 1964-65 Mopar B-body automatic top plates have no cracks, chips out of, or corroded-out areas. While the chrome has a pretty decent shine still on it, it does have a lot of pitting as well. Use as is, or perhaps get it re-chromed-- if you can. The top plate has a very nice shift pattern lens with no cracks or scratches. The black plastic slide by shifter is excellent and works well. The front blank insert is pretty nice still and has a crack and scratch-free lens over it. Bezel around it is pitted however. Has a good retainer strap on back that holds it all in firmly. Not sure if it is stock or not, but there is a small hole drilled in painted area at the front part of top plate, just below blank insert bezel area (see pencil pointing at in last picture). If not stock, it could be easily filled and covered when you would repaint the silver paint finish on top plate, that does have wear and flaking of paint, and would need a re-paint to be nice.
Don't miss these hard-to-find top plates here at my realistic opening bid price. Be sure to put in those good bids, as these are my last ones of these around here! Not available in any reproduction format that I know of either. Thanks for stopping in to look and bid! ________________________________________________________________

Detroit, heart of the American car industry, traditionally hosts the first motor show of the year each January. Officially known as the North American International Auto Show – or NAIAS – it’s a chance for carmakers to kick-start the coming 12 months with a bit of glamour and sparkle. And the 2014 Detroit Motor Show has not disappointed, with a substantial number of new debuts and a chance to see some existing favourites, too.

The spirit of Le Mans--along with the spirit of the out-of-production Panoz Esperante--lives on in Panoz Auto Development's latest creation, the Abruzzi. Named for the people from the south-central Abruzzo region of Italy, the Abruzzi draws its inspiration from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the car is making its world debut on Tuesday, and its styling from the 1935 Delahaye Type 135 tear-drop coupe. "It is about the true spirit of Le Mans, a car you can drive from home to the racetrack, race it, and then drive home again," Panoz chairman and American Le Mans Series owner Don Panoz said.
