Condition:Used

1964 Galaxie XL rear seat, complete with all chrome trim, all brackets - including every mount unique to an XL - and rear speaker grill in good condition. It is highly unusual to see a complete seat up for auction. Usually they are sold by the piece for a small fortune. This seat has everything needed to bolt it in to a non-XL car. You have to fab the package tray area "humps" but that's it.

The rear speaker grill alone is worth $100 or more as-is. "Chrome" trim (actually anodized aluminum) is in very good condition, could be cleaned up and used as-is for the most part, but easily restorable to #1 condition. Seat frame has some minor rust but is very solid and will make a great core.

The seat pieces will ship at about 65 lbs. in an oversize box. The UPS store calculator says $270 to the midwest but Ebay's shows $240. I'm amenable to other options, but in any case, will charge only my cost and not a penny more. I do know it will require about $40 worth of boxes to package these parts. Of course, local pickup is always an option too. My zip is 40242.

Settlement by PayPal on receipt of my invoice. Please do not attempt payment until costs have been finalized. Please email any questions well in advance of auction close.

Mercedes Concept Style Coupe leaks out early The Mercedes Concept Style Coupe – which previews the baby CLS Mercedes CLC – has leaked ahead of a Los Angeles reveal. We’re still not completely sure that the Mercedes Concept Style Coupe – which is due to be revealed at an event in Los Angeles later in April – will arrive as the Mercedes CLC, but it seems likely. What also seems likely is that it will go down a storm, especially if the photo above (leaked on a Croatian site) is the real deal – it looks stunning.

2012 BMW M5 revealed in production trim

Wed, 15 Jun 2011

The wraps have been torn off the fire-breathing 2012 BMW M5. And, as expected, the Bavarian luxury maker is going in a different direction under the hood. BMW is eschewing a naturally aspirated powerplant in the new M5, whose high-revving roots date to the 1980s, in favor of a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 pushing out about 552 hp.
