Here's a good condition original used 1966-71 era Mopar A, B, E-body convertible power top lift pump / motor assembly. May also work for Mopar C-body convertibles too. Was originally off of a 1967 Dart convertible with power top, but I believe the used this same pump motor for a wide variety of Mopar convertible cars, for many years. Has 4 rubber mounting cushions / feet. All wiring and plugs are nice shape. The outside has some surface rust, but would blast off fine if you wanted to refinish / paint it. Motor has been tested and runs just fine. All threaded holes (for lift lines) look good, and have runner gasket (O-ring?) in them to still. All rubber mounting pads / feet look real nice. A lot cheaper than a generic after market one that doesn't look right, and often mounts differently too from stock.

Up for your auction bids is this very good condition original used 1966-71 Mopar A, B, E-body (and perhaps C-body?) convertible power top lift motor, pump, and reservoir assembly.  Was originally out of a 1967 Dart convertible  with power top lift, but I believe it  will fit a large variety of 1960s-early 1970s Mopar convertibles with the power top lift option.  Please look pictures over carefully to be sure this it the style that your car used.

Featured Mopar power top lift pump and motor assembly runs and pumps good. All wiring and plugs are nice, with no cuts or splices in it.  All four of the rubber mounting feet are there still and in nice shape.  I have tested this, by applying power to it, and the motor ran smoothly and positively. All wiring and plugs are nice, with no damage or cuts / splices.  The motor has four black rubber feet / insulators on it, that all are nice and uncut or broken off.  There is some surface rust on much of this pump, motor, and reservoir.  Would clean off fine with a blasting (be sure and plug holes where lines attach before doing that however, then paint if to look very good.

Don't miss this good original factory piece if yours is damaged, missing, incomplete, or you would like to convert your car over to a power top top lift convertible top.  Available here for a realistic opening bid price as these go.  Don't put expensive new generic reproductions in, that often don't fit in, or look original.  Keep your car all Mopar where you can!  Be sure to put in that good bid today!  Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

Ford Energi drivers use all-electric mode 60 percent of the time

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Ford has noticed quite a few interesting things by researching how owners use their Ford plug-in hybrids. It appears that Ford owners are driving their hybrids in electric mode nearly 60 percent of the time, using their cars' 21 miles of gas-free all-electric range. This figure contrasts quite a bit with the 41 percent of all-electric drive time earlier in the year, demonstrating that winter driving patterns differ quite a bit from summer driving.

The event was formerly known as the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance, but it was moved this year from the grounds of Oakland University north of Detroit to Plymouth, a suburb west of the city.

Silverstone: the defining moments from 50 British grand prixs

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

By Tom Clarkson Motoring Issues 03 July 2014 11:00 1948 Silverstone’s transformation from a World War II bomber station into a race circuit began in August 1948, when the Royal Automobile Club took out a one-year lease on RAF Silverstone. Under the stewardship of local farmer James Wilson Brown, the RAC International Grand Prix was staged on 2 October, using similar regulations to those that shaped pre-war grand prix racing. The track layout comprised the airbase’s perimeter roads, with straw bales and ropes protecting the piggery and the crops in the middle of the circuit.
