Pagani Zonda Revolucion is the last ever Zonda. Apparently.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion – the ultimate Zonda We’ve lost count of the number of ‘Special Edition’ Zondas Pagani has churned out over the years, but it’s probably close to the point where a non-special Zonda is rarer than the special editions. Now we get treated to one last special edition Zonda with the Pagani Zonda Evolucion, an evolution of the track-only Zonda R promising even more extremes of performance and price. The Evolucion’s 6.0 litre V12 engine produces a massive 789bhp which, thanks to a weight of only 1070kg, promises to be unbelievably quick with a power to weight ration of 749bhp per ton – better than the Veyron.

Under the bonnet of the striking GT4 Stinger sits a modified version of Kia’s 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine, which is good for 311bhp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual ‘box, with a set of 20″ alloys with centre locking and carbon fibre inserts covering 15″ cross-drilled discs and four piston callipers for stopping power.

E85 makes inroads on cost and availability

Three years ago, we embarked on a Midwest road trip in search of what was then the Holy Grail of fuel: E85. Our findings weren't too positive--there were far more E85-compatible vehicles on the road in 2006 (5 million) than there were E85 pumps to fuel them (about 700 out of some 200,000 fuel stations nationwide). In addition, those burning the mix of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol were paying a pretty penny for their earth-friendly ways, losing about 15 percent in fuel economy while often paying the same price as for regular unleaded.
