Removed from a 1969 Thunderbird. . .. Stamped C8SF-17265 and has an Ink Date of NOV 11 1968 on the backside of the face plate and stamped C8SF-17289 [FoMoCo] on the mount bracket. . ... The Speedometer is in Excellent Condition and it Works Great. The Markings are Very Visible. this Speedo has Very Nice Original Color and Markings. . The Orange High Speed indicator marks and the needle are fading in color.. The Needle still Looks Great. Not Bent or Twisted. The Chrome Center Ring is very bright and looks excellent. There is very minor discoloration down in the silver center section. The Rear Mechanism looks Really Nice, NO Rust. Overall this is an Excellent Working Original Speedometer and is Ready to Install.. Nissan recalls Pathfinder, Infiniti QX4 for rusted steering column
Mon, 25 Apr 2011Nissan is recalling at least 195,000 Pathfinder and Infiniti QX4 SUVs sold in 20 cold-weather states and the District of Columbia to inspect steering columns for rust and corrosion. Nissan is concerned that road salt used in these cold-weather states could cause the steering columns to rust through and possibly break off. In January, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration started investigating 35 reports of corrosion-related failure of the driver's-side front strut tower.
