Up for your consideration is a 1968  D 440  HP  / 500  CUBIC  INCH Stroker   Engine.  This engine is pictured with  HP Magnum exhaust manifolds, to give you an idea of what  the engine looked like  from the factory.   If you are restoring a Dodge Charger,Coronet R/T,   Plymouth GTX ,   or any other neat Mopar project, This is what you need.  Looks stock on the outside, but runs a lot stronger.   This engine is date correct for year model 1968. This engine is built with all   NEW   parts.  New parts include  Forged Steel stroker crankshaft, H beam connecting rods and  Ross  forged pistons with Speed Pro Moly rings. Arp rod and head bolts are also used. Melling HV-63 High Volume oil pump, Carter High Volume fuel pump, Comp Cams Extreme Energy Hydraulic cam and lifter package, along with Comp Cams Heavy duty push rods and Mopar Performance Heavy duty Rocker assemblies,   Double roller timing set, gears and chain,    A   new  6 Pack 6 Quart  Oil pan and pick up screen are also included.  Also included are the Aluminum front case, i.e. Water pump housing, with High Volume Aluminum water pump.   A Mopar performance Electronic ignition is used along  with a 100 Amp. internaly balanced alternator. 

 The cylinder heads have been Upgraded to  closed chamber  Stealth Aluminum with Huge stainless valves and hard seats along with springs that can handle up to a 600 lift cam.      Please note, the factory correct valve covers for 1969 are used , as they are better than the 1968 covers. If you want the 68 covers, I will swap them out. .     Also, included is your choice of of a  750 CFM  Edelbrock 4 BBL. carb, or a Holley  3310 -  780 CFM   carb,    bolted to A NEW  Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold.   I can also supply you with Hi Grade equal length tuned ceramic coated Headers  or Chrysler HP Magnum exhaust manifolds as pictured.    The engine comes fully tested and broken in.  The engine is assembled with grade 8 or better fasteners.     Ready to ship and bolt into your car.  The engine makes 555 Horsepower and 522 ft. lbs. of torque at 4800 rpm on 91 octane pump gas,  using a Holley 780 cfm.  carb.      THIS ENGINE WILL SHIP WITHIN 3  DAYS OF ORDER

Nick Reilly speaks out on the future of GM Europe By Richard Webber Motor Industry 07 December 2009 13:54 Following General Motors' back-track on a buy-out from Magna in November 2009, the company's president of international operations Nick Reilly was appointed interim head of GM Europe. Now he's been made the permanent CEO of Vauxhall and Opel, making him the man charged with guiding GM's European division back to profitability.GM has big plans for Opel and Vauxhall, but has made no secret that there will be widespread pain and change before the good times return. The turnaround plan is nearing completion and it's expected there will be around 8300 redundancies, spread around Europe.
