We try to be fair and honest in our descriptions and I'm sure I could spend all day noting the flaws in this van but if you are car enthusiast and you've been around old vehicles you understand there are always things to work on on these older vehicles, but they are things that are fixable with time and patients, that's why we like the older vehicles, no computers here.   I bought this at an estate sale mainly to get the straight axle for a hot-rod project, but it would be a shame to tear up a decent old van like this as hard as they are getting to find. This has a little more rust than the usual Montana vehicles have so I suspect these were pretty bad for rusting out back east and up north in Michigan, Minnesota etc. Most of the rust is in the outer panels just below the front two doors. It is a boxed in area and it is the outer panel that is rusted, but I think any decent body guy could cut out the old, and lay on some new curved sheet metal and clean it up. There are spots in the little pockets near the back doors also that will need patch panels. The brother in law of the older fellow that owned this believed the tranny was acting up, and there was a replacement transmission in the back when we got it. It is a small V-8 with an automatic. The back two doors are banged in, but repairable, or any side or back doors from the same kind of van work for replacement. The floors are solid where we have exposed so far. If you need more pics, and more questions answered, please just ask, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This has a clear paper work in my name.  An aftermarket straight axle like I want is about $950. so this is a fair price for this. I think it's a very good price for a classic early van. Great family project. Call to discuss any concerns, and storage and shipping. I have listed this before in the whole vehicle section where it costs $50 to list, and have had the out of country scammers end up high bidder so I'm trying it in the parts section to see if I can get a serious buyer. We know a couple fellows who deliver these non operating cars around the country and can get it delivered for about 65. cents a loaded mile, call for more information. Thanks, Tim 406-538-6666, keep trying, evenings are best as I can't here a fone when welding or grinding.

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

By Ben Barry 07 February 2014 09:00 These are trying times for the new Hyundai WRC team. Both of its brand-new i20 WRC contenders were eliminated in the first stage of the 2014 season opener, the Monte Carlo rally. More teething troubles have followed in the second round of the World Rally Championship: Rally Sweden, which is taking place over the next three days.
