Item:    OEM Ford Mustang Pony Emblem

Description:     For sale is a 1968 “Left Facing” Ford Galloping Mustang Pony Emblem.   This emblem is solid chromed metal and measures 6” from tip/tip.  It is FOMOCO (Ford Motor Company) Part # 68113 87B-8A224-A as stamped on the reverse of the emblem.  I am sure my photos will best further describe this awesome Ford relic.

Condition:    Surely in this case, a photo is worth a thousand words.   Nonetheless, I would like to point out a few key things in regards to condition.   The chrome on this emblem is about 90% perfect.  If you look very closely, you can see there are a few tiny areas where the chrome plating has lifted some.   Most importantly though, BOTH of the mounting pins are still there and strongly attached.  I think this emblem may not be worthy of a show car, but surely worthy of any daily driver.   On a scale of 1 – 10 (ten being mint), I would rate the overall condition of this emblem to be a solid 7.5 in condition.  My photos are an accurate depiction of this item’s TRUE condition.

Shipping:  No international shipping unless done through Ebay’s Global Shipping Program.

Thank you for looking at my listing.   If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

PLEASE NOTE:  I do my best to provide you with the best values.  Customers normally pay only the actual shipping charges as determined by the shipping company (usually USPS).   Please E-mail specific questions prior to bidding.   If any problems arise, please give me the opportunity to fix it first before you leave negative feedback.   Returns are accepted ONLY if it is determined that the item is significantly different from what was described in the listing.  I am very proud of my long history of customer satisfaction.  Please read my feedback.  Many of the items I sell are vintage, so it is sometimes impractical  to describe every flaw and imperfection, but I will try to give the most accurate description I can.   Photos are an important part of the description;  questions and clarifications are encouraged and welcome.

TERMS:   The buyer will please contact me within 3 days either with payment or notification as to when payment will be sent.  Payment must be received within 5 days after the auction ends.  Insurance will be included on breakable or valuable items ($20 or higher), or if requested prior to payment.   I highly suggest you choose expedited shipping on fragile items.  The shorter amount of time it is in the Postal System, the better chance it will arrive safely.  I pack each item as if it is the “holy grail” but accidents do happen from time to time.   By purchasing this item, you are agreeing to take photos of the item and the box if it arrives damaged.  I need those photos for Postal Insurance Claims.  The Tracking # will be added to the listing as soon as I return home from shipping the item.

I am always striving for a five star feedback.

My goal is to make you happy with your purchase.

So, if for any reason you are unhappy

please contact me before leaving any negative feedback.

I always leave positive feedback for my buyers

and I am hoping to earn five stars from you.

Thank you!

McLaren Automotive Launch – LIVE on Cars UK

Sun, 28 Feb 2010

McLaren Press Conference Live on Cars UK I know, it’s more than a year since we reported that Ron Dennis was stepping down from his involvement in McLaren F1 to ‘Spend more time with the Family New Cars’ and almost a year since we reported that McLaren Automotive was being created as an independent company. So it seems a little odd to run a headline that says ‘McLaren Automotive Launch‘ when we’ve known about it for a year. But that year has been a busy one for Ron Dennis and the team at Woking.

U.S. set to raise fuel-economy standard

Tue, 19 May 2009

Government regulators will get their prize of higher fuel-economy standards, and automakers will get the certainty of a national emissions standard, under new rules to be proposed Tuesday by President Barack Obama. The fleet average fuel economy for automakers will rise to 35.5 mpg in 2016 under the president's proposal--10 mpg more than today's mandate. At the same time, the president's proposed rule will cut carbon emissions, thought to be a key factor in global warming.
