Hosted by our quarterly interior design publication Interior Motives, the competition challenges design students around the world to come up with innovative designs that offer clever solutions to the problems facing 21st century vehicle design. Drivers believe potholes 'are out of control'
Thu, 17 Apr 2014MOST DRIVERS (67%) think the pothole problem in the UK is getting out of control and the government and councils are not doing enough to solve the problem. Research by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) has found 65% of female drivers and 69% of male drivers are very unhappy with the condition of the UK’s roads. The IAM cites a lack of communication between councils and drivers for this situation as a third (34% ) of drivers believe councils are reducing the amount they spend on road maintenance but 60% of drivers admit they don’t know if budgets are genuinely being cut.
Ford issues third recall for 2013 Escape
Wed, 05 Sep 2012Ford is recalling the redesigned 2013 Escape SUV for a third time this summer and the second time to fix a problem that could cause a fire in the engine compartment. The recall covers about 7,600 Escapes equipped with the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. About 6,150 of the recalled vehicles are in the United States, and the rest are in Canada.
