Canadian Grand Prix (2014): RESULT
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Canadian Grand Prix (2014): RESULT For the first time in 2014, it looks as if the Red Bulls are in with a chance after Sebastian Vettel managed to put his car in third place on the grid, behind Rosberg on pole and Hamilton in second spot, with Ricciardo in the second Red Bull in sixth behind the Williams cars. At the start, Hamilton got a better take off than Vettel and pulled ahead, only to be baulked at the first corner by Rosberg and losing second spot to Vettel in the process.

Actually, no, they couldn’t, but that’s because Nico Rosberg had electrical problems before the start and had to join the race from the pit lane, and ended up retiring as the electrical gremlins proved terminal.

After all, how can Volkswagen resist a tasty slice of profit the BMW 3-series or Mercedes C-class dishes out to their makers? Even if it does risk stepping on Audi's toes...
