Here's a good codition original used left (driver's) side fender front extension, that I believe was originally off a 1970 Dart. It has a Mopar part # molded into the back side of 2998025. No cracks, accident damages, or repair work that I can see. This is the fiberglass style, not the later heavy-weight potmetal style. These have the deeper set in, if you are looking to put the chrome moulding on the front of these. The attaching studs are not with these, as these must of backed off out of the fiberglass and were never re-installed. Easy enough to get some other studs like these used and re-install them in , or perhaps take them out of your old ones on your car's fiberglass extensions and install on these. There is one small hole on the side where a moulding clip went. If you don't have this moulding on the side of yours, just fill the hole and it will be fine. The front of this extension has three cracks, only one of which if very thick. All are very repairable. Rest is nice.

Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Up for your auction bids is this very good condition original used 1970-72  Mopar A-body Dart / Demon front left (driver's) side fender extension.  This is a fiberglass piece,  as opposed to the potmetal style they also put on these cars later.  This extension has Mopar part # of 2998025 molded onto the back side. Please note this is the deeper-style drop down in front edge, if you are putting on the chrome potmetal moudling  on the front of this  (Note this would look to have not had any potmetal moulding on the front of it ever).

Featured left side fender extension is a very good original used piece, with no bad accident damages, alterations, or repairs that I can see.  There are three stress cracks in the front and inside edge area, only one of which has much in the way of any size to it.  All are certainly very easily fixable.  The screw-in attaching studs on the back side must have backed themselves out when these got removed from a car (and I do not have any at this time), but hopefully you could use your old ones or some other ones I have seen listed on eBay and other places.  There is one small hole on the side of this extension where a side moulding clip attached.  If you have that molding just reuse this hole,  but if not, just fill it and prime / paint over it and it should look great.

Don't miss this hard to find extension here. Not many of this style out there any more at this reasonable of an opening bid price.   Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 25 June 2008 09:30 The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a heart-stoppingly special event. I remember my first back in the late 1990s: marvelling at the splendour of Goodwood House; impressed that you could walk up so close to the cars and stars that enrich the atmosphere; and wondering just how Lord March had turned his back yard into one of the world’s premier motoring events. Make no mistake, the Festival of Speed is unlike any other I have ever attended.

End of the road for Mercury

Wed, 02 Jun 2010

Mercury has stood for hot-rodding, performance, style and even feminine appeal during various points in its 72-year history. But ultimately, the failure to stand alone in the Ford Motor Co.'s family of brands spelled its demise. Mercury, a brand founded by company scion Edsel Ford, will be shuttered as Ford concentrates its efforts on the core Ford brand and luxury-level Lincolns.

Ford dumps the CD player

Tue, 26 Jul 2011

CD Players in Ford Cars are no more I’m not old enough to remember when cars came with valve radios, but I am old enough to remember when many cars didn’t even get a radio. I’m also old enough to remember when the music source of choice in a car was the 8-track tape machine. And actually, for in-car use, 8-tracks were great.
