The train is, in many ways, the enemy of the automobile. We're not even getting philosophical about personal transportation versus mass transit or diving into disputes over whether to fund interstates or railways: Trains are simply bigger and heavier than even the bulkiest of cars, and they're quite happy to turn any vehicle that happens to be parked on their tracks into scrap-metal pancakes without slowing down. The Range Rover Evoque - Video below We got the reveal of the new Range Rover Evoque on Thursday night at Kensington Palace, and we were delighted to see that the production version has come through almost unchanged from the original concept. But it wasn’t actually a big surprise  after the Range Rover Evoque spy photos we published showed a very similar silhouette to the original LRX Concept. The Kensington Palace reveal was about capping off Range Rover’s 40th Anniversary with a flourish; the way forward being the plan.

Aston Martin unveils 2009 Le Mans challenger: first official pictures

Aston is aiming for the overall win at the legendary 24-hour race on 13-14 June 2009, 50 years after Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori drove a DBR1 to victory. Aston’s new LMP1 car is based on the Lola-developed 2008 Charouz Racing Aston Martin that came ninth at Le Mans in 2008. For '09 the car has been further tweaked with help from Lola, Michelin, Koni and BBS.
