1970 Ford Torino Cobra Gt Ranchero Fairlane Hideaway Headlight Grille Assembly on 2040-parts.com
Delta, Colorado, US
For your consideration is this ultra rare hideaway headlight and grille assembly for a 1970 Torino Cobra, Torino GT, Ranchero GT, Ranchero Squire, or Fairlane GT. This unit was taken out by me personally from a running Ranchero. Included is the extremely hard to find vacuum cannister and even the core support brace. I have all but one of the original bolts (one of the hidden bolts on the extreme upper right corner of the front of the grille was missing) to install it. The top side of the grille that is normally all cracked and broken on the support braces from mechanics leaning on it is in perfect condition as shown in photo #'s 8-10. Several of the plastic tabs are broken off on the bottom backside of the grille as shown and will need repair. The center eggcrate is broken in several places and was somewhat repaired poorly years ago using small screws/bolts as shown in # 7. Both headlight doors and eggcrates are in extremely good and undamaged condition. Both doors open and close smoothly by hand. All 4 headlights are intact with all 4 trim rings in very good shape. One headlight is an original Ford script light. There is no damage to the headlight areas on the front or backsides and the headlights unplugged very easily. There is obviously some missing stainless trim pieces on the leading edge of the grille. The vacuum cannister and associated actuating rods and springs are all there and look fine. No rust anywhere. I don't know if the cannister holds vacuum or not. The rubber boot is even in great shape with no tears or dry rot. Even the rubber hoses pulled off the cannister nipples quite easily. This car was in California for over 30 years before coming to dry western Colorado.

Toyota Camatte 57s concept
Tue, 11 Jun 2013You may remember last year we reported the unveiling of a customizable, modular little concept car called the Toyota Camatte at the Tokyo Toy Show. This year Toyota has returned with an updated version called the Camatte 57s with more scope for families to personalize their space-framed little machines with a total of 57 external panels (as its name suggests) as well as the removal of the roof which apparently "adds to the fun factor and allows everyone on board to enjoy the colorful exterior they have created". Like last year's car the driving position can accommodate both adults and children with gown-ups sat in the right rear seat able to intervene should the infant pilots go astray.
