UP FOR AUCTION IS A PAIR OF ORIGINAL CUSTOM CUT STEEL PANS FROM AN AUTOMOTIVE METAL FABRICATOR FOR THE 72 BUICK RIVIERA I SOLD THAT I PAID $175.00 + S & H FOR UNDER THE REAR PASSENGER SEATS (not where you feet go but under your -BUT I NEVER USED THEM! IN FACT, TO TAKE THESE PIXS WAS THE 1ST TIME I'VE SEEN THEM MYSELF AS THEY HAVE BEEN PACKED AWAY FOR 4 YEARS IN MY GARAGE. IT SAYS THEY WILL FIT OTHER GM VEHICLES (RIVIERAS 71 -73 SHOULD ALL BE THE SAME). THEY HAVE ALITTLE SURFACE RUST BUT IT'S NOTHING REALLY ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO POWDER COAT AND/OR PAINT. The interest was pretty much unprecedented, and one or two big car web sites crashed during the day of the launch because of huge numbers of visitors looking for information on the new XJ. We didn’t crash (thankfully) but our traffic doubled on the day, and thousands of you watched the launch live on Cars UK.
BMW i3 spied

Just a few weeks on from the launch of BMW’s new “i” sub-brand, and we have the first spy photo of the BMW i3 out and about in the Scandinavian snow. It seems BMW were busy filming this quite heavily camouflaged i3 for BMW TV when it was snapped, so it seems likely we may be seeing some video soon.
GM plants solar field at Chevrolet Volt factory
Wed, 11 May 2011Looking to put a charge in its eco-friendly image, General Motors is installing a 264,000-square-foot solar field at the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid sedan. The solar field, being built in cooperation with utility DTE Energy, will generate 516 kilowatts. GM says that’s enough power to charge up 150 Volts every day for a year.
