1971 Honda CB175 rebuilt engine for sale for only $790 with FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48 states. Engine has under 7000 miles and I purchased bike from a local old Honda dealership. Bike was stored in there climate controled shop and it showed it. Engine was professionally built. Lower end was not disassembled because after removing all parts, internals looked like new and the crank main bearings were very smooth.......(I drained oil from motor and was clear). Con-rod deflection was perfect. After all checks on lower end was very good, I decided to not disassemble. Stripped lower end was sumerged in a diesel/gas mixer I use to soak and flush engine. Cylinder to piston clearance was .002" (perfect) Pistons are the OEM ART high dome pistons and looked new along with the bore. Honed bore a few minutes. Cylinders are like new and undamaged.....no broken fins, etc. installed new OEM Honda rings with .006" to .010" end gap....(perfect). Head was in like new condition also. Valve and seats were perfect, lapped and checked seal. View pictures, I used the best parts I could find, either OEM Honda or MADE IN JAPAN gasket set and oil seals. Dialed in timing with degree wheel and dial indicator. Carburetors where not frozen, so rebuild on them was easy. Carbs are rebuilt and smooth as silk. This engine was built right and has tons of compression.....checked with kick starter.......(electric starter works perfect) I don't like to spin a rebuilt engine over with starter until oil is added to crank case and oil is flowing to the top-end by turning over right before first start up. This engine is in beautiful mechanical condition, all critical components are in like new condition and clearances are perfect. Most builders I have been reading like to cut .020" to .040" off the top of the cylinders to raise compression. I'm a 57 year old machinist, and have cut cylinders and heads on 2 and 4 stroke engines all my live. This engine in totally stock, however if you want me to do this modification, I can before I ship engine.....( I have a lathe and milling machine in my shop at home). Also, I have installed the mega and web brand of  performance cam shafts also. If you want this mods, I can perform at a very reasonable cost.......its up to you, it would be the perfect time to do these mods now. Please call Brandon to discuss anytime....225-939-7970. Thank you

Nissan Extrem concept bows at Sao Paulo auto show

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

Wild concepts during auto shows are nothing new, especially from Nissan. The automaker is adding to its reputation with the Extrem small crossover, which debuted recently at the Sao Paulo auto show. The Extrem is wild, but we could easily see it going into production, though Nissan's given no indication of such.

Geneva Motor Show 2007 Trends and Overview

Wed, 28 Mar 2007

Geneva is always one of the best shows to visit - it's easy to get to from the airport or city centre, it's more compact than the other major auto shows, it's well attended by car designers and there are a lot of new designs to enjoy. This year there were at least 14 significant new production debuts, a similar number of concept cars and, for a change, the weather was more spring like than winter... The core reaction from the designers we spoke to at the show was that there were no really very exceptional new cars at the show - the Hyundai HED-4 Qarmaq concept, Mazda Hakaze concept and Maserati GranTurismo being the possible exceptions.
