This auction is for the upper and lower cast rear quarter panel extension moldings from a 1972 Ford Maverick 2 door coupe. These OEM items are used and they're being sold "AS-IS" and with NO REFUNDS. Fit other years as well, so check a sourcebook for your specific application before you bid.

No dents, chips or stress cracks in any of these pieces. One of the studs backed it's way out when I was removing them, but I still have it. All other studs intact and solid on both sides. I also have the factory nuts, washers and the bolts for the bottom pieces, but they will need to be cleaned up. The rubber gaskets are toast and need to be replaced.

These are pretty heavy pieces and they're awkward enough as it is, so there will be no combined shipping on them with my other auctions!

** Check out my other auctions for a few more parts from the same 1972 Maverick. If you don't see it listed, then I don't have it and the car was already crushed. Wasn't much left worth saving off this one when it came in anyway...

I never end my auctions early so don't bother asking or I will just delete your emails...

Toyota GT86 Convertible teased by FT-86 Open Concept for Geneva

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

A roadster version of the Toyota GT86 now seems certain as Toyota tease an open-topped roadster for Geneva with the FT-86 Concept. It took Toyota a long time to deliver the promise of an ‘affordable’ sports car, but the Toyota GT86 has delivered a proper driver’s car at a sensible price (and you can even have it as a Subaru BRZ if you choose). So a success with a single sports car model can mean only one thing – more versions of the same car.

New smart fortwo electric drive enters production

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Mercedes has announced that the third generation 2012 smart fortwo electric drive has gone in to production. Mercedes may, very sensibly, be pursuing hydrogen fuel cells as the real future of motoring but they still have an eye on electric cars as urban runarounds. That urban EV takes shape as the Smart EV, and the third generation smart fortwo ED (electric drive) debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March and has now gone in to production.
