Up for auction we have a extremely rare Jawa CZ Motocross racer...made in Czechoslovakia......This bike sold new as a 1973 but the tag says 1972 so that is what we're calling it.  This bike is what you call "A TRUE SURVIVOR"   I bought this bike new and it has been in storage in my woodworking shop under a inch of sawdust for over 25 years...I only wiped away some of the sawdust...(Great preservative)......Everything is original on this bike even the tires....Motor is all original with original piston / Standard bore...... If you are familiar with these  CZs you know they were just about the most powerful MX bike out there...with the 42 HP and twin coils and plugs they pretty much dominated the Motocross circuit throughout most of the early 70s.....When I put this bike in storage in about 1985 or 1986 I drained out all the fuel from the tank and carb....every now and then I would squirt some oil in the cylinder so everything is still nice and free....In the first few months when I bought the bike the tank started leaking so I replaced both tank and fender with these plastic units.....Please see all photos............................. Would consider trade for BMW 1950s- early 60s    500 or 600cc even in basket case condition..................................
Will work with buyer to get this bike shipped where ever.................You can contact me @ 860 234 0081 cell phone

Jaguar Crossover could be the Q-Type or XQ

Sun, 05 May 2013

The fastest growing segment in the car market is the Crossover / SUV, especially the more compact crossovers. So if Jaguar are going to compete in the big league they’re going to have to tap in to Land Rover’s expertise at some point and come up with their own Crossover (NOT a Jaguar SUV, as Ian Callum made clear). That could perhaps be getting closer with the news that Jaguar has registered both the Q-Type and XQ monikers after Pistonheads played Sherlock and dug the details out from the bowels of the European Union trademark database.

This would lend an additional element for increasing Porsche's sales as part of parent company Volkswagen's ambitious growth strategy.

UK to get dedicated Sky Sports Formula 1 Channel in 2012

Mon, 28 Nov 2011

Sky Sports F1 HD - a dedicated F1 Channel for the UK News Corporation has revealed that the UK will get a new dedicated Sky Sports Channel just for Formula 1 (F1) starting March 2012. It’s not exactly a huge surprise that Sky Sports is launching a new F1 Channel in 2012, perfectly timed to coincide with Sky’s takeover of Formula 1 Coverage from the BBC. The F1 HD Channel (as far as we know it will only be on HD – another reason to upgrade to Sky HD if you haven’t yet) intends churning out F1 content 365 days a year.
