For sale is a CB550 Engine off of a 1975 Honda CB550!

Engine rotates freely with the starter motor hooked to a battery and builds compression. I've never run this engine but I believe it to be in working shape (unfortunately I cannot 100% guarantee that). Engine has normal signs of wear of a 40 year old engine (some dings, scratches, etc...). Looks like a small crack in the oil pan was sealed by previous owner. It was not leaking at all when the motor contained oil.

Feel free to ask any questions! Sold as is.

GM continues work on fuel-saving engine technology

A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. General Motors continues work on the project, which could be applied across a range of engine sizes and used with other advanced fuel-saving technologies to help the company comply with the proposed new mileage and emissions targets announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.

Artega SE & GT (2011) at the Geneva motor show

Thu, 03 Mar 2011

German sports car maker Artega brought the current GT and the SE, an electric version of the obscure man’s Cayman, to the 2011 Geneva motor show. Artega… remind me who they are again? Artega was founded in 2006 in Dalbruch, Germany with the involvement of Karl Heinz Kalbfell, a well-known industry executive formerly of BMW, Rolls-Royce, Alfa Romeo and Maserati (he’s now at Lotus).
