Auction is for a 1977 Ford V8 2bbl EGR Spacer plate and EGR valve.  The valve carries part number D7BE-9D475-A2A which makes this a 1977 vintage assembly.  I cannot find a number on the spacer plate itself.  Parts are used but in great shape.  The operating condition of the EGR valve is unknown.

Jaguar Land Rover to build cars in China

Jaguar Land Rover has revealed it is going to build cars in China, starting with either the Freelander 2 or Evoque. Jaguar Land Rover has revealed that it going to build cars outside the UK for the first time (as opposed to re-assembling Freelander 2 CKD kits as it does in India) in a plant just north of Shanghai. As this is China, official permission from the Chinese government is required, but with the joint venture between Chery and JLR now official its seems unlikely to be a problem as JLR will already have agreed to Chery producing JLR cars with Chery badges on.

The new Silverstone F1 Circuit was revealed this week Bernie will be pleased It’s been a bit of a saga for Silverstone and the BRDC of late, with a backwards and forwards ‘will-they, won’t-they’ get to host the British Grand Prix going forward. Bernie Ecclestone finally announced that Silverstone would host the 2010 British Grand Prix back in December  - although it could be argued only by default after Donnington went belly-up – and the circuit upgrades are nicely in time for the 2010 British Grand Prix in July. Prince Andrew did the official opening on Thursday and got the chance to lap the track in a 2-seater F1 car with Damon Hill at the wheel and former F1 driver – and now BBC pundit – David Coulthard also on track in a Red Bull.
