Item:     1979 “MOTOR” IMPORTED CAR TIME GUIDE BOOK

Description:    For sale is a 1979 MOTOR Imported Car Time Guide Book.   Before computers were commonplace this guide was the “bible” for mechanics to help figure out any specific mechanical job would take.    This book covers all IMPORTED cars from Alfa Romeo’s to Volvo’s.   It is a HIGHLY DETAILED book with schematics for a huge variety of mechanical jobs.   The book is 546 pages long.  I am sure my photos will best further describe this Vintage Mechanics “bible”.

Condition:   Other than some scuffs from oily hands on the front/back covers, this book is in extremely EXCELLENT CONDITION!  The interior pages are nearly MINT.  The first 20-30 pages have a small stain on the very bottom of the page and after that each and every page is EXCELLENT.  No missing pages, no torn pages and no stained pages.   On a scale of 1 – 10 (ten being brand new), I would rate the condition of this book to be a solid 8.  I am confident my photos are an accurate depiction of this books TRUE condition.

Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing – new pictures

Wed, 08 Jul 2009

New teaser pictures of the upcoming Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing But time moves on and it won’t be long before we get the full reveal at Frankfurt, so Mercedes is out playing at more tease, and has issued the pictures you see here. And we get a few more details. Auto Motor Und Sport has been talking to SLS designer Hartmut Sinkwitz – who was responisble for the Smart (sublime to the ridiculous springs to mind) – who says that although it is important to pay homage to the Gullwing Mercedes of the ’50s – the inspiration for the new Mercedes SLS – it was vital that the SLS should be a modern car in every respect.

Skoda Superb (2008): first official pictures

Wed, 09 Jan 2008

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 09 January 2008 10:58 Skoda’s biggest car – the Superb – will be replaced in autumn 2008. The new Superb is unveiled today ahead of its show debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March – and it’s received a welcome dose of style over today’s taxi-special that majors on a vast, echoing interior over any recognisable form of chic. The new Superb is even bigger than the current model; this one is 4838mm long and 1783mm wide, but it’s slightly lower than before for a sleeker, lower look.

Brabus 800 E V12 Cabriolet – it’s a bonkers Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet

Mon, 11 Jul 2011

Brabus 800 E V12 Cabriolet So you fancy a Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet, but you feel Mercedes has failed miserably to endow any E-Class Cab with enough power to whip the skin off a rice pudding. What do you do? You go out and grab yourself an E-Class Cab tweaked and fettled by Brabus – something like the new Brabus 800 E V12 Cabriolet with 800 continental horses at its disposal – more than enough speed on tap to whip the syrups off your back-seat passengers.
