On one double sided chart information found regards; engine specs, ignition coil, resistor, condenser, spark plugs, gap, idle speed, ignition timing, ignition advance, distributor, vacuum, generators, regulators, charging circuit, fuel pump and other information, all easily legible and a wealth of information. Today in Autoweek history, we look back to the week of September 20, 1975, when Corey Farley gave us a look at the new 1976 Chevrolet Chevette. The B-segment (for 1976, anyway) newcomer weighed in at a scant 1,998 pounds and carried an equally lightweight MSRP of $2,899. Farley described how the Chevette handled some of the rigors of testing, which included hauling four journalists and their camera equipment around the Black Lake testing facility in Milford, Mich.

Aston Martin added a short promo video to its YouTube channel on Thursday showing the facelifted 2012 Vantage V8 coupe. The least expensive Aston now bears a stronger resemblance to the recently upgraded Vantage S thanks to a new front fascia, new rear styling and redesigned side sills. Wider wheels and tires will be installed along with six-piston competition-derived brakes.
