Do you have a 1979 Hurst Olds with a Chevy 350 in it, shame on you!  This is your chance to correct!

What I know,  The Engine was in a 1979 Hurst Olds I parted out years ago (shame on me),  I was told the engine was rebuilt (that has never been verified).  I did start the engine, ran for about 40 seconds, it sounded good, carb was flooding so I shut it down.  The transmission, I was told reverse did not work.  What you see is what you get....  I am not including the plate over carb to lift engine.  There is no carb or A/C pump, otherwise pretty complete.

Local pickup only, I'm not far from Carlisle.

Bedford Autodrome to get Ariel Atoms for 2012

Thu, 15 Dec 2011

Corporate track-days at the Bedford Autodrome will get lairier in 2012 - Somerset-based Ariel has announced it’ll supply ten cars for the PalmerSport track-day events next year. Stopping short of the unhinged Atom V8, the PalmerSport-spec cars get the normally aspirated 245bhp Civic Type-R engine, and some key changes to set it aside from the Joe-Public Atom. The Palmer-spec car will get a Sadev paddle-shift sequential gearbox, which swaps ratios in 60 milliseconds, whilst some choice chassis mods optimise the Atom for its full-time track-toy brief.

Diesel drivers 'pollution penalty'

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

DRIVERS OF DIESEL CARS could have to pay more in road tax or face additional levies to travel into city centres in an effort to tackle pollution, it is reported. Major cities around the UK are considering bringing in low emission zones to force out older diesel vehicles that are responsible for higher levels of fumes, The Times said. Almost all diesel vehicles driven into central London will trigger a £10 charge under plans being considered by mayor Boris Johnson, who will also reportedly lobby the Government to increase road tax on diesel cars to encourage motorists to move to cleaner vehicles.

New York City Taxi of Tomorrow plans hit a roadblock

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

New York City administration's plan to replace current taxi cabs with the specially developed Nissan Taxi of Tomorrow has been stymied by a recent legal decision, the Wall Street Journal is reporting. The New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan (it's a bit confusing, but this is actually the on the level of the lowest state courts in New York state's court system) has issued a decision which determined the project to be an overreach of executive authority, siding with taxi magnate Evgeny Freidman and the Greater New York Taxi Association. The court stated that city's Taxi and Limousine Commission lacked the authority to compel cab companies to purchase the any particular vehicle -- in this case, the Nissan NV200 Taxi, which was slated to hit streets just a couple weeks from now on Oct.
