OLDSMOBILE AM RADIO

WE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING AND ACQUIRING PARTS FOR A LONG LONG TIME NOW.  HERE WE HAVE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A GOOD LOOKING OLDS RADIO I BELIEVE, BASED ON THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE AND WHAT THE FORMER OWNER HAD TOLD ME.  I REALLY THOUGHT THIS TO BE A NEWER RADIO BUT I BELIEVE THE NUMBER MAKES IT A 1980 FULL SIZE.  LOOK TO MAKE SURE IT IS RIGHT FOR YOUR APPLICATION.  BEFORE BIDDING!!!  GM/DELCO USED SAME RADIOS WITH DIFFERENT TRIM IN A VARIETY OF VEHICLES SO THE UNIT MAY WORK IN A NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS BUT MAY REQUIRE SOME CUSTOM FITTING.  THE KNOB SPAN IS ABOUT 5 & 7/8.  THE FACE IS ROUGHLY 2 & 1/4 X 4 & 1/2.

THE RADIO SHOWS VERY LITTLE WEAR.  THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SCRATCHES, VERY TINY IN SIZE ON THE FACE AND BUTTONS. WHAT IS THERE IS TINY.    PLEASE REVIEW THE PICTURES.  LOOK CLOSELY AND MAKE SURE IT IS THE PART YOU NEED BEFORE BIDDING.   HERE'S THE THING.  THIS STUFF IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND.  DON'T PASS THIS DEAL.  I RATE THIS PIECE A 4  IN APPEARANCE, ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH BASED ON AGE RARITY AND CONDITION. AT A MINIMUM A GREAT HOLE FILLER IF YOU ARE RUNNING A CUSTOM AUDIO SYSTEM ELSEWHERE.

Please note:  I have no way of telling if the radio works properly and it is sold as is.    I CAN TELL YOU you it's good in appearance and usually these old radios were fine, merely replaced with aftermarket radios.  WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND OPENING AND AT LEAST CLEANING THE UNIT WITH AIR. When we decided to offer radios we made a decision to not claim that any radio worked.  We did this for a number of reasons.  It just seemed the safest way to go with most of the radios ranging from 30-60 years old.  Our thought was even if the radio played on the bench it might not play the following day.  So we don't test them.  Instead we start our radios at a reasonable price and know that often that means we don't see the money that a "Bench Tested" radio brings. And that's OK.  We'd rather have that then the issues that could come from saying an electronic part works.   Really, aren't you taking a chance anyway with Bench Tested unless it has at least a 90 day warranty?

We ship all over the world. AND we combine shipping and handling whe multiple items are purchased.

IF YOU BID PLEASE PAY.    THANKS.  IT BECOMES A PROBLEM FOR US BOTH IF YOU DON'T!

WE SHIP THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR RADIOS PRIORITY MAIL WITH INSURANCE.  MUCH SAFER AND QUICKER HANDLING BY USPS.

HELLO FRIENDS.  JUST A QUICK NOTE.  WE SPENT A FEW WEEKENDS AT MANY OF THE MIDWEST'S LARGEST SWAP MEETS THIS SPRING SEARCHING FOR PARTS.  THOUSANDS OF PARTS, HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, AND NONE OF THESE. ZERO!   SO LOOK CLOSELY AND BID IF YOU NEED IT. A GREAT HARD TO FIND PART.

Skoda Octavia & Skoda Superb go 4×4

Thu, 04 Nov 2010

The Skoda Octavia gets 4x4 and DSG 'box We had a shout out for Skoda and what they do to make VW product their own when we ran story the other day on the new advert for the Skoda vRS, which shows how individual and inspired Skoda now are. Most of the time, anyway. Not only are Skodas inspired and individual, they are also something of a bargain compared to their VW brethren.

Ferrari plans to sell fewer cars in 2013

Wed, 08 May 2013

Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has announced an unusual plan for the Prancing Horse: to sell fewer cars in 2013 than the 7000 it delivered in 2012. Speaking in Maranello, di Montezemolo stated that 'this is a far-sighted decision to strengthen our brand equity, from what I learned from Enzo Ferrari… We must resist people who say the competition will benefit from us making fewer cars… When others penetrate our markets, we are happy to meet this challenge.' Is Ferrari mad to chase fewer sales? It is not the first time that Ferrari has decided to limit supply: 'In 2003 we did the same,' explains Montezemolo.

Suzuki Kizashi Concept

By Ben Barry Motor Shows 12 September 2007 09:36 Hasn't Toyota shown this car before? Suzuki, it's a Suzuki. But yes, the front end does resemble Toyota's FT-HS concept.
