British Honda engineers get green light from Japan
Fri, 15 Nov 2013Honda UK’s small UK vehicle engineering centre is all set to grow in size and importance following approval from Japanese bosses. The British car development base supports Honda’s main European development centre in Frankfurt but has been taking on increasing responsibility in recent years. Honda Civic Tourer prototype review (2013 onwards) Honda Civic review (2012 onwards) Success here, said a Honda spokesman, has meant Japanese management feels it can hand over more responsibility to the small Swindon centre.

Fri, 22 Jan 2010Toyota has updated the Auris for 2010 Back in October we reported on the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) 2010 Toyota Auris which was a pretty good pointer to what the rest of the world would get in the way of updates to the 2010 Toyota Auris. And it was, with Toyota confirming the UK changes for the Auris and also confirming that the Auris Hybrid will go on sale in July, just as we reported back in June last year. Exterior changes to the Auris are not huge, but they are noticeable.

Thu, 31 Jan 2013Brett Patterson and Rohan Saparamadu have joined Geely as chief designers, based in Shanghai. They will both report to the company's design director Ken Ma. Patterson most recently worked as a contract designer at GM Europe's Design Center, Rüsslesheim, and has worked for GM for total of 14 years on a wide range of vehicle development programmes in Australia, Germany, Sweden and USA.
