4.5" XJ Suspension System

The Zone Offroad 4.5" 84-01 Jeep Cherokee lift includes new front coil springs capable of handling anything! Since we design our coil springs for off road use, there is only a 2" bump stop extension supplied to drastically increase wheel travel. Our coils can be smashed to the bottom and will always come back! No, that doesn't mean they are stiff. The key is using the correct size wire with the correct spring rate to offer the perfect ride and still hold up over time. Unlike many inexpensive kits on the market, our springs are made in the USA!

This system also comes with extended sway bar links to reduce body roll and brake line relocation brackets to make the job easy to do at home. New extremely heavy duty lower control arms are supplied to correct alignment as well as axle location. The lower control arms are made from 1-3/4" OD x 1/4" thick wall D.O.M. tubing. The greasable urethane ends are dual fluted to allow for proper lubrication and long term performance.

Features

  • Front coil springs designed to give a full 4.5 of lift while maintaining an O.E. style ride
  • No bump stops are included because our springs are designed for extreme travel.
  • Long, thin add-a-leafs for the rear that offer a smooth ride as well as hold up over time
  • New rear U-bolts are included with high nuts and washers
  • New front and rear shocks are included that are valved specifically for your XJ

Notes

  • The XJ was produced with different possible rear axles. You will have to identify your rear axle before being able to complete an order. The easiest way to tell the difference is to measure the I.D. of your rear u-bolts. The Chrysler 8.25 rear axle uses a 3" I.D. u-bolt and the Dana 35 rear axle requires a 2-3/4" I.D. u-bolt.
  • Quick Specs:

  • Installation skill level: 3 of 5
  • Estimated install time: 5-6 hrs
  • Max tire size: 32" x 11.50"
  • Wheel size: 15" x 8"
  • Back spacing: 4.75"

Infiniti releases Q50 teaser video

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

Infiniti has released a short clip teasing its new Q50 sedan ahead of its reveal in Detroit this month. From the video we can see the Q50's new headlight design that integrates a curving LED ‘eyebrow', while we can see more LEDs around the main lamps, bringing the lamp graphics found on the brand's recent concept cars to production. The Q50 will be the first model to launch under the carmaker's new naming policy, where each model will see either a Q (sedans) or a QX (crossovers and SUVs) attached to its name.

Long-time racing journalist Chris Economaki dies

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

UPDATE: Whoever you are, wherever you are, take a moment to think of Chris Economaki. Make it your personal tribute, however brief, to this grand old man of auto racing journalists because he left us late Thursday, Sept. 27 at age 91, and he left a hole in the motorsports firmament that can never be filled.
