The parts i pull are from wrecked autos. if the part looks like junk i don't pull it. I have sold many car parts as-is with most being good working parts (check out my feedback score). I had someone tell me that if the part is as-is i have to list it as "for parts, not working". All of my parts are pulled by me and are out of wrecked cars.
